Emmanuel Iranian Ministries (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information our website, eiministries.ca, collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Emmanuel Iranian Ministries is a registered charity serving the Persian-speaking community across Canada. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, reach us using the details under “Contact us” at the bottom of this page.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form: when you send us a message, we receive your name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message or prayer request.
  • Donations: if you give by Interac e-Transfer, your bank shares your name, email address and the amount with us. Online donations are made on the CanadaHelps website (see “Online donations” below).

Information collected automatically

  • Usage statistics: we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use our site — for example, which pages are viewed, approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, and how visitors found us. Google Analytics uses cookies and does not give us your name or contact details.
  • Security and performance: our website is delivered and protected by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as your IP address to keep the site fast and block harmful traffic. Cloudflare may also provide us with visitor statistics that don’t use cookies.
  • Question helper: the site’s automated helper runs entirely in your browser. What you type is never stored or sent anywhere; only the general topic of a question (for example, “service times”) is counted anonymously in our usage statistics.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your messages and prayer requests
  • To record and acknowledge donations and keep records
  • To understand how our website is used and improve it
  • To protect our website from abuse

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we never add you to a mailing list without your permission.

Prayer requests

Prayer requests are read by our church leaders with care and respect, and are never published or shared publicly without your permission.

Online donations

Online donations are processed by CanadaHelps on its secure website. We never see or store your card details. CanadaHelps handles your information under its own privacy policy and, depending on the choices you make when donating, may share your name and contact details with us.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart and measure how the site is used. Cloudflare may also set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from automated abuse. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The site keeps working if you block cookies.

  • Google Fonts (Google) — the fonts on our pages; your browser connects to Google’s servers to load them, which shares your IP address with Google

  • Zoom — our online gatherings, if you join them
  • Google Maps — opens when you click an address

Each service handles information under its own privacy policy. Some of them may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States.

How long we keep information

We keep messages and donation records only as long as they are needed for the purpose they were collected for, and as required to meet our record-keeping obligations as a registered charity. Google Analytics keeps usage data according to the retention period set in our account.

How we protect information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and connections to our website are encrypted (HTTPS). No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive information through the contact form.

Children

Our website is not designed for children to submit personal information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@eiministries.ca. We handle personal information in keeping with the fair information principles of Canada’s privacy law (PIPEDA).

Our site links to other websites, such as CanadaHelps, Zoom and Google Maps. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
